The Borders of Our Lives

Some really fun maps marking out sociological, rather than geographical, borders.

  1. These are questions I'm very interested in...and will be looking at for 9th-17th century Virginia for my thesis research. So yeah, cool.

My big beef with these maps, though, is that they're very poorly labeled. Maps should always have titles independent of text as well as legends, etc, when it's not obvious (as, say red and blue for political maps is). End rant.

  2. Agreed with the labeledness. That's why it took me so long to peruse them -- I had the tab open for weeks before I figured them out. However, still interesting!
